I maintain an extensive, unique background in the areas of fine art, graphic design, illustration, music and education.
I have been creating fine art and graphic design twenty-plus years and I have developed a portfolio of unique variety. My visual expertise includes composition and design, freehand and digital illustration, painting and fine art. I have written my first booklet, The Art of Composition.
I am also a trumpet player and singer-song writer. I have played trumpet for Orange County’s highly successful pop artists, No Doubt and the Offspring. With No Doubt, you can hear my trumpet sound on Tragic Kingdom, The Beacon Street Collection and on Cellophane Boy, a B-Side recording featured on the Simple Kind of Life, Return to Saturn single. You can also hear my trumpet-sound on the Offspring’s, Americana and Splinter CDs. In 2004, I earned a grammy award for playing on Toots and the Maytals, best reggae recording,True Love. Other highlights in my music career include playing on American Idol’s Kimberley Locke, Eighth Wonder of the World, CD. To hear recordings I have played on, check out my discography page.
I continue to practice trumpet daily and record with many artists. My latest project features my horn arrangements and trumpet playing with the San Diego americana-rock group, Sara Petite. To hear my own compositions, check out my CD, 8 Lanes Wide, available on www.cdbaby.com.
I earned my BM in trumpet performance from CSULB and I have completed two master’s degrees; an MM in music composition from CSULA and a MAEd, in educational leadership. I am currently a credentialed K-12 music teacher, working for the Garden Grove unified school district.
I continue to freelance out of my home studio and I am always available for a wide variety of fine art, graphic design and music projects. I adore the most Holy Trinity. I love playing trumpet, guitar, writing songs, singing, painting, drawing, reading, philosophy, teaching, surfing, skate-boarding, hanging out with friends and most of all, spending time with my awesome kids, Megan, Morgan and Miles.
